Ski Poles: Made to be tough & sturdy, either one fixed piece, or two adjustable pieces. Intended for up and downhill use.
Splitboard Poles: Constructed of three pieces to be adjustable and collapsible for downhill packability. Usually has a hook shaped grip to lift touring heel riser bars.
Snowshoe Poles: Lightweight, adjustable, and the most budget friendly for casual trail use.
