Overview

New 2021 Black Diamond Helio Carbon 104 skis are designed for all day backcountry missions. The skis balance playful, soft-snow performance with a lightweight build with technical precision for when conditions are variable.

The Helio Carbon 104 are constructed from a pre-preg carbon fiber layup with full perimeter ABS sidewalls for improved dampness and a smooth ride. The paulownia wood core keeps the ski lightweight for big days in the backcountry all while maintaining a smooth flex and torsional stiffness for reliable, responsive skiing on the way down. The early rise in the tip and tail improve flotation and trail breaking efficiency. Lastly, the ABS tail protector has an integrated skin-clip tab to keep the skins from sliding off.
